Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-24
This policy describes what Connections collects from you, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
What we collect
- Phone number. Used to sign you in via SMS verification. This is how friends find you when they add you as a connection.
- Display name and optional profile photo. Shown to your connections on plan cards, map markers, and attendee lists.
- Home location. Stored as a geographic coordinate and, if you selected an address via the in-app address picker, the formatted address string. Used to determine which plans are nearby and to display the approximate location on a map. This isn't shared with connections or anyone.
- Notification radius. A number (in miles) that you set in your profile — how close a connection's plan has to be for you to be notified.
- Push notification token (FCM/APNS token). Stored on our server so we can send you push notifications about nearby plans and connection requests. App asks for permission to send you notifications.
- Plans you create — title, time, location, and the friends you invite — and RSVPs to others' plans.
- Connections (friendship records) between you and other users. Stored bidirectionally; both sides must agree before a connection is active.
- Contact phone numbers — only when you tap Find friends from your contacts. With your permission, the app reads phone numbers from your device address book, normalizes them locally, and sends them to our server to look up which numbers belong to existing Connections users. We use the numbers to compute matches and discard them — we don't store your contact list.
- Camera access. Used only when you open the QR scanner to add a friend from their code. No photos or video are captured or sent anywhere.
- Subscription status. If you start a free trial or subscribe to Connections Pro, we store your entitlement state (whether Pro is active, when it expires). Apple's App Store or Google Play handles the actual payment — we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat as a sub-processor to manage subscription entitlements across platforms.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, we receive an anonymized crash report via Firebase Crashlytics — device model, OS version, and the stack trace — so we can fix bugs.
How we use your data
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To show you plans from your connections that are within your radius.
- To let your connections RSVP to plans you create and vice versa.
- To let RSVP'd attendees reshare your plan with their own connections, when you've allowed resharing for that plan.
- To match the phone numbers you scan from your contacts against existing users, so you can connect with friends already on the app.
- To send push notifications about nearby plans, new connection requests, and accepted requests.
- To process subscriptions to Connections Pro through the App Store or Google Play (we don't see your payment details).
- To receive anonymized crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics so we can debug and improve the app.
What we don't do
- We don't run ads.
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't share your phone number or exact location with other users. Your connections can see the approximate area of your plans; they don't see your home coordinates.
- We don't store the contact list you scan with Find friends from your contacts — phone numbers are used to compute matches and then discarded.
- We don't see your payment card details — the App Store or Google Play handles that.
- We don't use your data for any purpose other than running the app.
Who can see your data
Your display name and photo are visible to your connections, and to anyone who looks you up by phone number from their contacts (you can turn this off — see Your controls below). Plans you create are visible to your connections; if you allow resharing on a plan, the connections of anyone who RSVPs can also see it. Your phone number, home location, notification radius, and push-notification token are not visible to other users.
We use a small set of trusted sub-processors to run the service: Google / Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, FCM, Crashlytics) stores and processes data on our behalf, RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements, and Apple's App Store / Google Play handle subscription payments. None of them use your data for their own marketing.
Your controls
- Discoverable by phone. In Profile → Settings you can turn off “Discoverable by phone” so that other users cannot find you via the contacts-matching feature.
- Allow reshare. When creating a plan you can choose whether RSVP'd attendees may reshare it to their own connections.
- Notifications. You can revoke notification permission at any time from your device settings.
- Contacts and camera. Both are off by default and only accessed after you grant permission. You can revoke either permission from your device settings at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete your user document and all associated data immediately.
How to delete your account
Easiest is to delete from the app. Otherwise please email support@lvenok.app
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email support@lvenok.app to exercise any of these rights.
Children
Connections is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please email us and we'll delete the account. See our Child Safety Standards for how we handle child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) reports.

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
